The Tata Curvv EV breaks away from traditional SUV styling by introducing a bold new design language that blends the rugged stance of an SUV with the sleek appeal of a coupe. The sloping roofline merges seamlessly into the tailgate, giving the Curvv an athletic and futuristic appearance on the road.
A Bold New Design Era With Sporty Coupe SUV Styling
The front fascia is dominated by a full-width LED DRL strip, a closed EV grille, and sharply cut LED headlamps housed in a sculpted bumper. Flush door handles, aerodynamic alloys, and a notchback rear profile with LED connected tail lamps give it a premium silhouette. Positioned above the Nexon and below the Harrier in Tata’s EV lineup, the Curvv EV will be the brand’s first born-EV in the coupe-SUV segment, designed to turn heads in urban and highway environments alike.
500Km Long Range With Fast Charging and Ziptron EV Architecture
Under the stylish bodywork, the Tata Curvv EV is powered by the advanced Ziptron architecture that already underpins Tata’s other successful electric vehicles. The Curvv EV is expected to offer two battery pack options, with the larger pack delivering up to 500km of certified range on a single charge. This makes it one of the longest-range EVs in India under ₹25 lakh. It supports DC fast charging that can recharge the battery from 10 to 80% in under an hour, while home AC charging takes 6 to 8 hours. Tata Motors will also offer an 8-year battery warranty and easy home charger installation. With regenerative braking, efficient thermal management, and a battery pack that is tested under extreme Indian conditions, the Curvv EV aims to be practical as well as future-ready.
Digital Cockpit With Premium Comfort and Connected Tech
Inside, the Tata Curvv EV features a dual-screen layout with a large 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, bringing a cockpit-like modern feel. The infotainment system will run Tata’s new UI with connected car technology, over-the-air updates, voice commands, and support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The dashboard gets a clean, layered design with soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof for an airy cabin feel. Key features include ventilated front seats, wireless charger, air purifier, touch-based climate control, rear AC vents, and a large boot space. Tata is also expected to add arcade-style in-car apps and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality in higher variants.
Zippy EV Performance and Ride Dynamics Tuned for Indian Roads
The Tata Curvv EV will offer a front-wheel-drive single motor setup initially, expected to generate around 140 to 160PS of power, ensuring peppy city performance and stable highway cruising. The flat floor and low-mounted battery improve center of gravity, translating into superior handling and ride quality. The suspension is expected to be tuned for Indian roads, soaking up potholes and rough patches while delivering a composed and planted ride. Tata may introduce multiple drive modes, regenerative braking levels, and potentially even a dual-motor AWD setup in a future variant, aimed at those who want more performance in their premium electric SUV.
Strong Safety Foundation With Advanced Driver Assistance Features
Safety is a priority in the Tata Curvv EV with features like 6 airbags, ESC, hill hold control, all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitor expected in top variants. Built on Tata’s ultra-high-strength steel platform, the Curvv is expected to meet global crash safety norms. Tata is also working on bringing ADAS Level 2 features such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert in select trims, pushing the Curvv into the next-gen EV category. With expected pricing between ₹18 to ₹23 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Curvv EV is set to disrupt the electric SUV market in India by offering long range, premium features, futuristic design, and the trust of Tata’s proven EV technology.
